Paragliding Hill in Cisarua Sub-District, Bogor City
Not all people have tried paragliding before. For those who visit Bogor City, in this case, should consider visiting Cisarua Paragliding Hill. As the name suggests, it is located in Cisarua Sub-District and resides in Tugu Selatan Village. The fact is this Indonesia’s hill is the part of Puncak tourist site and Naringgul Gunung Mas. The locals call this site “Bukit Gantole”, as well. No wonder, due to the fame, everyone can find the location without hassles. What can they do there, actually? As people may expect, they can enjoy paragliding comfortably while witnessing the beautiful panorama of the site.
In terms of nuance, Paragliding Hill offers refreshing air and pristine environment. It is because the site is located at 1,300 meters above the sea level, so the atmosphere is quite cool there. Not to mention visitors can see flawless green landscape and mountains! The Indonesia’s site is located near to At-Ta’awun Mosque, which is about 300 meters apart. Thus, everyone can easily find the location during the visit. Even some instructors are seen there and they are always ready to help tourists.
Exploring Paragliding Hill
It is true the activity costs some money in order to rent the equipment and pay instructor’s service. Those instructors are experienced athletes, in fact! That means everyone is able to enjoy the activity in a safe manner regardless of their experience. As for additional information, aside from the ticket fee, visitors should pay the parking fee (especially those who ride a private vehicle). From the parking site, it even involves a short trekking to the runway.
Even though everyone is allowed to enjoy this activity in Indonesia, it requires a registration before they are able to fly. Not to mention everyone should consider the weather and the strength of the wind. For instance, the instructors may prohibit tourists to fly if the wind becomes too strong at the time. Everyone should obey in order to avoid any undesirable things like accidents. Have no worries. While waiting for the perfect wind, tourists can do other fun activities including photography and enjoying instant noodles at nearby eateries.
Before paragliding, the instructor may give some briefing regarding the safety aspect. For example, everyone should not forget to wear safety helmet and flight suit. The flight usually takes 10 minutes or more depending on the weather. One thing, there are some requirements in order to enjoy the activity including the weight and age. It is said the maximum weight is 85 kg! Also, those who are below 18 years old should get consent from their parents first.

For those coming from Jakarta City, they can simply head to Bogor City by Jagorawi Freeway. Once arriving at Cisarua Sub-District, the next thing to do is to approach Tugu Selatan Village in Gunung Mas of Puncak. The whole trip may take around 1 hour and 58 minutes, as the distance is 77.9 km actually.
